Kathmandu Pokhara Lumbini Chitwan Tour is a delightful opportunity to explore major touristic destinations of Nepal. It is enveloping historic trip followed by nature tour, jungle safari and pilgrimage trip. Visit around the world heritage sites at Kathmandu, experience magical paradise city of Pokhara and spectacle excellent views of Himalayas from Sarangkot, explore wilderness activities at Chitwan National Park, and ends in Lumbini at the feet of Lord Buddha. We go around several UNESCO Heritage sites in Kathmandu. The various rituals dedicated to Hindu deities including the cremation ceremony in the Pashupatinath Temple, and prayer flags and wheels whirling in the Bauddhnath and Swayambhunath stupa (monkey temple), two of the biggest stupas in the world, affirms the vast religious harmony in Kathmandu. Apart from these sites, Bhaktapur, Patan and Basantapur Durbar Squares (ancient palaces) provide the glimpse of the rich ancient culture via stone and wood carvings in different pagoda styled temples and other structures.

After sightseeing in Kathmandu, we visit Pokhara (by air/land). Pokhara is a beautiful valley with various picturesque destinations and spectacular mountain views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchre (Fishtail) and many more. The early morning sunrise view from Sarangkot is followed by the visit to several amazing caves (Mahendra cave/Bat cave) and boating in the Phewa Lake. Other various attractions are Davis fall, mountain and cultural museums and temples. Evenings are fabulous when spent in the periphery of tranquil Begnas Lake or in the peace Pagoda in the high hill, from where we can view whole Pokara city. Pokhara offers other various adventure experiences including Paragliding, Bungee Jumping, zip flyer, mountain biking, rafting etc.

From Pokhara, we head towards Chitwan National Park, one of the popular destinations in Nepal in order to experience varieties of wildlife resources. Elephant Safari and canoeing in the Budhi Rapti is followed by Jeep Safari in the Jungle. We indulge in other various activities such as elephant bathing, visit elephant breeding centers, Birds watching and jungle walk. We can see Royal Bengal tigers, one horned rhinoceros, Gharials, wild boars and other various species during our safari tours. In addition to that Tharu cultural shows and hospitality of the indigenous communities are something to remember forever.

After enjoying the scenic beauty of Pokhara, we head to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Lumbini is a sacred pilgrimage tour for Buddhists all over the world. Apart from the holy sentiments of the Buddhist spirituality the place has other various attractions. The history of the place goes back to 623 BC, when Buddha was born. Puskarini pond is where Buddha took bath, Ashoka pillar commemorates the visit of ancient sub-continent Emperor Ashoka before the 3rd century BC. Maya Devi Temple, museums and parks are nice places to visit in Lumbini which is indeed a site for spiritual panacea.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

On your arrival, we will receive you at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu and transfer you to the hotel. If you are not tired, then you can roam around Thamel area. In the evening NGT will host welcome dinner to you.


Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu

We officially begin our tour from this day. Our guide will take you to the UNESCO World Heritage site in Kathmandu. You will visit Kathmandu Durbar Square where you will observe more than 500 years old Nepalese art and culture. Swayambhunath also known as Monkey Temple is a popular tourist destination that you will visit. Pashupatinath (Hindus’ greatest temple) is another place you will visit on this day. Bouddhanath, which is in walk in distance from Pashupatinath will be another spot of your visit. It is one of the largest stupas of South Asia.


Day 03: Sightseeing in Patan and Bhaktapur

Patan Durbar Square is listed in World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is a historic place that is rich in arts and architecture. Besides Patan Durbar, Krishna Temple is another thing to watch due to its typical architecture. It is said that the temple was built by carving a single rock. On the same day we will also visit Bhaktapur. It is a traditional city which has its unique culture and lifestyle. Nyatapole Temple, The Golden Gate and 55 Window Palace are the things that lure tourists here.


Day 04: Drive to Pokhara

Early in the morning, after breakfast, we will drive to Pokhara. It is around six hours’ drive. En route you will see Trishuli River, green hills and small settlements (villages) by the side of highways. Upon our arrival in Pokhara you feel as if giant mountain walls welcoming you in eternal way. We will have our lunch on the way to Pokhara. We will stay in a hotel of your choice in Pokhara. You can spend your time strolling in the streets of this lake city.


Day 05: Pokhara Sightseeing

On this day, early in the morning we head towards Sarangkot. It is a hill from where we can enjoy Annapurna and Dhaulagiri in north and observe Pokhara to its (Sarangkot) south. Watching sunrise from this place is amazing experience of life. The way the sun kisses the snow-capped peak is not expressed in words. Now we move towards Pokhara and explore all popular landmarks of this lake city. Davis Falls, Shiva Cave, Mahendra Cave, do boating in Phewa Lake (largest lake of the city) and visit Bindhyabashini Temple (the temple is located at the center of the lake) are today’s major activities. We will also observe International Mountain Museum (IMM) that is of its kind which keeps records of mountaineering activities happening in the world.


Day 06: Drive to Chitwan

After early breakfast, we will drive for Chitwan. We will follow a descend road and from Muglinng we will travel by the bank of Narayani River. No sooner we reach at Chitwan our staff will brief you about the activities that we will be doing at our stay here. During evening we will enjoy our dinner along with cultural program that is performed by Tharu.


Day 07: Chitwan National Park

Before breakfast, we will get on elephant back for jungle safari today. After breakfast, we visit the elephant stables and even enjoy bathing the elephants. In the noon, we can drive through the jungle or enjoy boating on Rapti River. While on boating, we will have close look of Mugger crocodiles along with other aquatic species like dolphins and water birds. We will spend over night in Chitwan at hotel.


Day 08: Drive to Lumbini

Lumbini is 192 km scenic drive from Chitwan. After breakfast we head towards the birth place of Buddha. We will enjoy lunch after reaching at Lumbini. We visit Maya Devi Temple. We will visit several monasteries there throughout the day. You can even learn some meditation techniques there from some gurus. Overnight accommodation in a hotel.


Day 09: Drive to Kathmandu

After breakfast, we drive for Kathmandu. On arriving in capital we will spend some time roaming in Thamel and purchase some souvenirs.


Day 10: Departure from Nepal

Our tour in Nepal ends today and our representative will drop you at the airport. Have the safe flight. And see you soon!
